Herren Law Office has been representing disabled clients since 1992. Since that time the firm has helped more than three thousand people with their disability claims. We are proud to have helped so many when they needed it most.

William Herren is licensed to practice law in Texas and in the Federal District Courts of the Southern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas, as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Herren regularly represents claimants in administrative hearings before the Office of Hearings and Appeals. He is also active in the district court in the appeals of selected cases beyond the administrative step. Mr. Herren is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives. He has attended numerous continuing legal education seminars throughout the country.

The office manager, Cristina Valencia, has been with the firm since we began our disability practice. Ms. Valencia is very knowledgeable in the way the Social Security Administration works in general and the disability determination process in particular.

Melissa Freeman, legal assistant, has been with the firm for two years. Ms. Freeman has a wealth of experience in medical sources in the Houston area as well as the disability claims process.

Maria Bernal has been with the firm for one year. Ms. Bernal is fluent in both Spanish and English. Ms. Bernal is usually the first person that our new clients talk to. She is a very important part of the firm’s service … especially to our Spanish speaking clients. Maria coordinates the firm’s intake and interview process.
